CHALLENGE
PROSE Nails sought to transition from a traditional brick-and-mortar service model to a digitally integrated experience. The existing web interface suffered from high drop-off rates during the booking flow and lacked a cohesive design system, making it difficult for users to navigate services and memberships.
THE GOAL
Simplify the appointment booking funnel and create a responsive, high-fidelity UI that reflects the brand’s premium identity while ensuring technical feasibility for the engineering team.
RESEARCH
I began by analyzing user behavior on the legacy site and conducting stakeholder interviews with boutique managers. Key insights included:
• Friction Points: Users found the multi-step booking process confusing on mobile devices.
• Business Objective: A need to increase "Membership" sign-ups during the checkout flow.
• Accessibility: The previous color palette failed contrast tests, making it difficult for some users to read service descriptions.
LOW-FIDELITY WIREFRAMES
I mapped out the user journey to identify "dead ends" in the booking flow. I proposed a "Progress Bar" to give users a sense of completion.
HIGH-FIDELITY MOCKS
Using Figma, I built an interactive prototype to test the new flow. I conducted A/B testing on the "Member vs. Guest" pricing toggle to see which layout drove more membership interest. Weekly syncs were held with the development team to ensure that the custom booking components were compatible with their existing API limitations.
THE SOLUTION:

IMPACT & RESULTS:
The redesign transformed the PROSE Nails digital presence into a conversion engine.
• Increased Retention: The simplified navigation and cleaner UI contributed to the 40% increase in user retention noted in my professional summary.
• Mobile Efficiency: Booking completion rates on mobile devices increased by 30%.
